Updated: 07 Sep 2010

Icon Resources is an emerging tungsten producer with its flagship project the Mt Carbine tungsten mine in North Queensland. A three-stage operation is planned with tailings retreatment to start by early 2011, followed by waste dump retreatment and then hard-rock mining scheduled to commence by early 2013. Icon's Mt Carbine tungsten project in particular has the potential to become world class. While Icon also has projects prospective for tin, gold, iron ore, copper and zinc, 90% of the Company's focus is developing the Mt Carbine tungsten mine. The Company's strategy is to identify, evaluate and develop mining opportunities in a way that delivers maximum returns to shareholders.
