Green light for geothermal project in Haute-Sorne

Following the positive fundamental decision on the deep geothermal project in January this year, subject to agreement on additional safety requirements, the canton of Jura, Geo-Energie Suisse and Geo-Energie Jura have now signed a comprehensive agreement. The pioneering geothermal project in Haute-Sorne can now be started.

The Haute-Sorne deep geothermal pilot project aims to produce electricity and heat in a geothermal power plant supplied by two boreholes approximately 5km deep
