First bore of Silvertown Tunnel completed

At the site of the Silvertown Tunnel in east London, UK, Jill, the tunnel boring machine (TBM) has reached the rotation chamber in the Greenwich site, completing the tunnelling of the first bore.

The TBM being used on the Silvertown Tunnel in London will be turned around and then begin the second of the twin bores
