The Rebstock site in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, has been used as a runway for military aeroplanes, housed the Battelle Institute for Nuclear Physics and has recently simply been wasteland. Now it is to be redeveloped as a residential quarter, and also as a site for a daycare centre and an elementary school. However, before construction can begin, the Bauer Umwelt division of Bauer Resources in collaboration with Bauer Spezialtiefbau is constructing the 15,000m2 excavation pit for the last section of the district development.
