Bauer Group receives follow-up orders for the mega-project NEOM in Saudi Arabia

The megacity NEOM is currently one of the largest construction projects in the Arab region and in the world. It is being built in north-western Saudi Arabia near the Red Sea and a key part of this is the construction project THE LINE, a city that will be 170km long and home to nine million people after completion.

In August, Saudi Bauer Foundation Contractors, a company of the Bauer Group, was commissioned with the first foundation engineering project. Large bored piles about 70m deep are being installed for THE LINE mega construction project. The construction progress is on schedule, so that the first order can be completed on time.

Bauer has now been commissioned with two further construction phases for the foundation of THE LINE, in which large bored piles with a diameter of up to 2.5m and a depth of around 70m are also to be produced.

All orders are part of a three-year framework agreement, within which further projects for the Bauer Group are expected. "The megacity NEOM is currently on everyone's lips and one of the most impressive construction projects in the world," Michael Stomberg, CEO of Bauer AG, said. "Shortly before the completion of the first order, we are pleased that the client has placed their trust in us to be able to carry out further project sections."
