Studies to assess potential nuclear waste site suitability underway

Nuclear Waste Services (NWS), a part of the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA) group, which is the non-departmental public body responsible for the clean-up of historical nuclear sites, has begun a wide range of studies to evaluate sites that could be suitable to host a geological disposal facility (GDF) safely and securely in the UK.
