Epiroc has unveiled a new SmartROC drill rig specifically developed for construction and quarrying work.
Based on its flagship SmartROC T25 R and T30 R platforms, the new SmartROC T30 RX is a surface radio remote drill rig with an unprecedented level of automation for this class of machine.
Featuring the company's Hole Navigation and Rig Control Systems, a COP SC19 HE rock drill with a 19kW drilling output, and a powerful 129kW engine, the SmartROC T30 RX is claimed to deliver high impact energy and rotation torque, along with a high flushing capacity of 105l/s.
"Thanks to the extra power, we can now offer T51 tools and 102mm drilling. With an impressive hole range of 64 to 102mm, this rig will be perfect for larger infrastructure projects as highways or hydroelectric plants," said global product manager Marcus Leü.
