Albioma is currently operating over 900MW of power generating capacity in the Caribbean, Europe and the Indian Ocean.

"NREI and Albioma together represent the technical and operational strength to ensure the completion and success of the Nevis Project. We are very pleased to be working together and with the Nevis Island Administration to deliver 100 per cent reliable and resilient green energy to the people of Nevis," said Bruce Cutright, CEO of NREI

Nevis premier, Mark Brantley, who has been an advocate and strong supporter of the Nevis Island transition to renewable energy said: "The Nevis Geothermal Project represents the most important breakthrough project for the Eastern Caribbean. NREI has worked hand-in-hand with NIA to bring this project to the construction stage. We are very pleased that, now, with the actual start of construction, we can see the culmination of all of their hard work and a definitive start date for the generation of reliable renewable energy for Nevis."

The Nevis Geothermal Project is a 10MW geothermal generating plant located on the Island of Nevis, Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis. The Nevis Island Administration is a partner and co-developer of the project with NREI. The geothermal plant will enable the island to transition away from the use of fossil fuels and be 100 per cent reliant on zero-emissions renewable energy for power supply.

NREI has assembled a team of industry leaders for the design, construction, operations and completion of the Nevis Geothermal Project. Schlumberger Integrated Drilling Services will be conducting the installation and completion of the production and injection wells.

GeothermEx, a complete geothermal consulting and design engineering firm has produced the well designs and will carry out the well and reservoir testing upon completion of the wells by Schlumberger.

The plant construction and system integration will be carried out by Clemessy, a member of the French-based Eiffage Energy Systems Group, the fifth-largest civil engineering and construction firm in Europe.

Owner's representative services, quality control and inspections will be provided by Power Engineers based out of Boise, Idaho, USA. Power Engineers is a global leader in the delivery of integrated power production facilities. NREI is extremely pleased to have assembled this skilled and experienced team for the completion of the Nevis Geothermal Project.
