Transitional Energy awarded US$2.5 million to convert oil wells to geothermal

Transitional Energy, a geothermal development company, has been selected to receive a US$2,500,000 award from the US Department of Energy Geothermal Technologies Office to support the transition of hydrocarbon wells into geothermal wells, helping to advance the Biden-Harris Administration’s goals of net-zero carbon emissions by 2050 and a carbon-free grid by 2035.
