At the show, we will be launching: The reimagined DD240T - a mid-size directional drill that features an upgraded CAT engine and industry premier Gardner Denver fluid pump, maximising power and uptime on any HDD jobsite.
The DD240T features a Tier 4 Final Stage 5 CAT engine that meets the emission standards for engines in Europe. By reducing jobsite emissions, the new engine allows HDD contractors to take on even more jobs. The 536hp engine also brings powerful drilling capabilities to a mid-size drill to maximise jobsite productivity.
The DD240T also features a new onboard fluid pump from Gardner Denver, which has a rating of 450gpm. However, to improve the machine's longevity and increase performance and uptime capabilities the DD240T is set to run at just 300gpm. This allows crews to work efficiently without pushing their drill to its limits every time it is turned on.
Additionally, the DD240T has a redesigned cab to boost operator comfort. With an improved air conditioning system and a taller cabbed unit, contractors can stay cool and comfortable, increasing productivity.
American Augers will also use CONEXPO to introduce the M300DH.

At the show: Numa will be exhibiting their ‘Made in the USA' rock drilling hammers and bits, capable of drilling in a wide range of rock formations and conditions. A special spotlight will be on the Super Jaws overburden bits used for simultaneously drilling and casing 5-1/2in to 48in holes in hard rock and unconsolidated ground conditions of overburden, boulders, or bedrock. With its unique design, Super Jaws utilises wings that extend out to drill a full-diameter hole while in the drilling position. Upon completion of drilling, the wings retract back into the guide body for extraction of all tooling to the surface while leaving the casing in place. There is no reverse rotation required, nor any expensive rings left in the hole.
The company will also feature its Casing Ring Bit Systems for simultaneously drilling and casing vertical or horizontal holes in piling, foundation, anchoring, geothermal, and other casing applications. The system consists of a pilot bit, casing shoe, and heavy-duty ring bit and is available in a wide range of sizes for drilling holes 16in to 48in in diameter. Options are available for both drill-through and non-drill-through applications requiring the installation of casing into bedrock. It is a complementary product to Numa's highly successful Super Jaws and Impact Ring Bit Systems.
