Powered by a Honda GX 390 engine with 8.7 kW of power, the new Massenza MI1 is mounted on a fully hydraulic on crawler chassis. It can carry out dynamic sampling, DPL, DPM, DPH and SPT tests (up to 63.5kg drop weight), undisturbed sampling (up to 128kg drop weight), window sampling and direct push with hydraulic breaker hammer, but it can also mount a rotary drive head for shallow core, mud and auger drilling.

The MI1 is capable of carrying out all of the above tasks despite having a total weight only 780kg. It is also incredibly compact-sized when being transported thanks to its foldable mast.

Accessories available with the MI1 include auto-reverse valve; foldaway cantilever arm; manual, electric or hydraulic winch; drop weight DIN 50kg; safety basket for drop weight; extendable crawler; lateral rod boxes; bracket for hydraulic breaker; and radio remote control.
