Soilmec Ltd

Main business sector: Drilling and foundation equipment

At the show we will be exhibiting: Soilmec Ltd will be presenting its latest mini piling rigs- the new SM-11 and the new SM-15.

Soilmec has used technological research and implemented the valuable experience gained over time with previous successful models such as the popular SM-14, to produce two new designs to provide solutions to the ever-changing market.

The SM-11 is a 2021 addition to the Soilmec SM fleet of mini piling rigs. Benefitting from very high feed and extraction, the SM-11 is a perfect combination of performance and efficiency in a compact design for limited-access job sites. It is designed to be easily adapted for multiple configurations and with a wide range of rotary options available to suit the different technologies and ground condition requirements.

/

Soilmec will be debuting its new SM-11 mini piling rig easily adapted for multiple configurations at this year's Geotechnica

With an operating weight of 11t, the rig is assembled on a steel crawler track with ±10-degree tilting range complete with two ground stabilisers fixed on the rear to give increased stability.

Equipped with a Cummins F 3.8 Diesel Stage V engine generating 115kW (154hp) and boasting high performance and low emissions add to the extreme ease of maintenance. The engine has a low-idle system enabling it to automatically adjust its speed to the actual needs. The decision to fit the SM-11 with a large diesel engine allows the drilling rig to utilise and exploit the largest double head and the top hammer configurations.

The new SM-15 has been designed for versatility offering an extensive range of configurations that can be utilised in multiple drilling applications.

High performance is ensured with a Cummins B4.5 Stage V engine with 142kW and the load sensing hydraulic system the rig will be able to perform with a rotary head with a max torque up to 34,000Nm and 121kN of feed/pullback force.

The SM-15 has a range of rotary heads options with varying torques and drilling speeds. The new double rotary head will ensure high performance in a compact size and can easily be converted to single rotary when required. A rotary side shifting device is also available in both single and double head configurations.

Our UK mini piling sales manager, Craig Anderson, will be available to discuss the full specification and options on the new SM models and all information on the complete range of Soilmec and Mecbo equipment will be available.
