Exploration company Generation Uranium has identified several "compelling drill targets" across its 100%-owned Yath Project in the under-explored Thelon Basin in Nunavut, Canada.

The target areas include the VGR Trend, BOG Zone, Fog IM-6 Targets, Embryo, Lucky Break, MP-25 and Boulder Lake, with the company saying it is "rapidly advancing toward its first-ever drill programme at Yath".

The upcoming field season is expected to include targeted seismic surveys, structural reinterpretation and drill testing of priority zones, as the Vancouver-based company strengthens its technical understanding of the property. There is a "pipeline of compelling drill targets," said CEO Michael Collins.

He added that exploration success comes from refining the details, and the work completed to date gives them a high degree of confidence as it move toward the company's first ever drill programme.

Historic exploration identified uranium mineralisation within the broader district, including the LAC 50 and RIB deposits located south of Yath.

Recent work by neighbouring operators has further validated the significance of northeast-trending.
