Sandvik has secured further orders from Canadian gold miner, Aris Mining, in support of operations at its 100%-owned Segovia underground gold mine in Antioquia, Colombia.

It is believed the scope of supply is for the Toro LH410 compact underground loaders, although how many has not been revealed.  With a 10t payload capacity these machines tend to be used in narrow vein or smaller underground mining operations.

With a reserve grade of approximately 10.7g/t, Segovia is a primary asset in Aris Mining's portfolio. About 227,760oz of gold was mined in 2025, with production expected to increase to 300,000oz annually.

The new order follows an April 2026 contract for "a large fleet" of underground mining equipment for Aris Mining's Marmato Complex, also in Colombia.

Sandvik will start delivering the machines beginning July 2026.

Ricardo Pachón Mantilla, Vice President Andean & South Cone sales area at Sandvik Mining, said: "Our priority is to continue supporting Aris Mining throughout its growth and expansion, demonstrating the strength of our partnership through quality, commitment and reliability, while further strengthening our long-term business relationship."
