Liebherr's new LRB19 drilling rig is being used to build the foundations of an ambitions residential housing project in Gdansk, Poland.

Polish company Budokop Geotechnika is using the rig, the successor to Liebherr's piling and drilling rigs LRB 16 and LRB 18,  to drive 1772  foundation piles into hard ground for 1000 new coastal apartments.

The 360mm diameter piles will be installed down to a depth of nine metres in a limited time frame of eight weeks due to the ground conditions at the Baltic coastal city. site The groundwater level can be especially high, which can make the drill a challenge.

Budokop Geotechnika is one of the first companies to use the deep foundation model on a jobsite. "We opted for the LRB 19 because it is powerful and highly mobile. Thanks to its compact design it can be easily transported, which saves us a lot of time. The radio remote control," says Wojciech Sukow, company founder and managing director.

The LRB 19 can be used for a wide range of tasks in deep foundation work, including  piling or vibrating projects. It can also be fitted with Liebherr's H6 hammer or the LV23 and LV23F vibrators. Drilling with Kelly equipment is also possible.
